Settled for the weekend!

Here we are moored up between bridges 14 and 13 on our way back to the junction. Left Market Bosworth this morning using the winding hole by the mooring to turn round. Made sure we had put the wet gear on as the forecast wasn't too clever.
We have been so lucky today as we have seen 2 water voles in different locations while travelling and last evening while Paul was attempting to catch some fish he saw a water vole in the reeds opposite the boat. Seems they are a bit like buses 3 come all at once. At least it proves that these lovely little creatures are thriving on this canal.
When we left the mooring around 9 nothing was on the move then as we got to the sanitary station the world and his dog seemed to be coming in the opposite direction. One boat passed us while we were doing the necessary and we stayed behind him until he ran aground when he pulled over to let a boat pass, he signaled for us to overtake which we did. Rain was intermittent and the sun was warm when it came out so all in all a pleasant journey. On the way up we called into Trinity Marina to see if they could get us a Shoreline solar panel and the lady said she would call us with an answer has she called us OF COURSE SHE HASN'T. Don't these people want our business or are they making so much from the moorings that they don't have to accommodate the passing trade. Suppose £450 is chicken feed to them. Paul wanted to call in but I said b******s to them we will get the panel from some one else.
Passed bridge 19, wasn't going to moor there for the weekend and so we are at the mooring where the monster fish was caught last year although Paul still insists this is not the place, believe me it is. So we will see, I am sure the fishing rod will be put to good use soon. Tomorrow is supposed to be fine so some jobs can be done. Sunday is F1 and MOTOGP so nothing will get done.
Plenty of boats have gone passed now and no doubt the hire boats from Ashby Boats will be whizzing past in the morning as long as it isn't too early I don't mind.
