New project for Paul?????

What do you think of this as a new project for Paul? Would keep him out of mischief for a few years don't you think. Not too certain where he would start though.

Yesterday was a dismal day plenty of rain so wasn't worth mentioning it really. There was a bit of light relief when Paul took the dogs out in the morning. Now our Crystal is a bit of a chaser and anything that is moving faster then her is worth going after hence we always keep her on the lead. Paul had just got off of the boat when a jogger ran past him, Crystal was on her long lead so was made to sit while the jogger went by. Paul then proceeded to unravel the lead which had some how got a knot in it and hey presto he dropped the lead and Crystal was GONE Paul shouted at the jogger to stop but he was oblivious, obviously had his ipod on so there was my very unfit husband in hot pursuit of our errant dog who was in hot pursuit of a very fast jogger. Suddenly lady luck smiled on Paul as the lead unravelled itself and Paul was able to do a rugby dive onto the end of the lead and stop Crystal in her tracks. Paul had to lay on the tow path for a while to recover and a passing boater shouted to see if he was okay. Don't know who was more knackered Paul or the dog, she isn't used to being able to run free. It took Paul best part of the morning to get his breath back. The jogger, well he didn't even realise what was going on behind him suppose that is just as well, don't think I would like to see Crystal bounding up on me.

Today we left our mooring around 10am heading for Hawesbury was quite chaotic when we got to Marston junction as we could see a boat travelling along the Coventry towards Nuneaton and then all of a sudden we could see a boats bows coming from the other way and then yet another boat coming from Coventry so there we were, us coming out and a boat coming in either direction wanting to come onto the Ashby and oh yes there was a hire boat behind us, luckily the two boats let us sort ourselves out and then let the hire boat through who was heading towards Nuneaton so that was our bit of excitement for the day and no one was damaged in the telling of this tale. We are now moored up nr Hawesbury junction, was on our way to the pub when we got caught in a shower and the couple on nb K2 very kindly invited us on board to wait till the shower had passed. No sooner had we continued on our way when Paul had to have a chat to a bloke fishing on the next boat along, with more rain heading our way I managed to prise him away from talking about "the one that got away" but blow me he has spent the past hour talking to the same bloke as we made our way back to the boat after a very nice ploughman's lunch. I suppose he will return home sometime in the next hour or so.

Will continue onto the Oxford tomorrow hope to be able to find a spot at Newbold never have been able to so far will keep my fingers crossed or else we will end up in Rugby which is fatal as we spend loads of money there.
