I am NOT flavour of the month OH DEAR

Today had not been a good day, we prepared to enter the lock when Paul said to me "have you got the washing machine running?" no was the reply "well there is a problem then". So deck came up and every thing was checked and it appeared there was no 240v charge going through the travel pack. Paul had a look in the cupboard and discovered there was water on the pack. Checking backwards the water was coming from the cupboard above. Now why was this, I'll tell you why it was because me in my tidy mode had put Pauls fishing weight box into the cupboard not knowing the thing was full of water from the rain yesterday, so now we have a blown up travel pack which on a call to Beta will cost over a thousand pound to replace so as you can imagine for the past 8 hours I have been the baddy in all of this and Paul has made sure all boaters that he has spoken to know just what I have done. As if I did it on purpose if I had known the bloody fishing box was full of water I would have left it on the top of the boat. But there you go I did it and thats it. After a call to a chap that Beta use in Atherstone he will check out the pack for us, luckily we are heading that way and now will be doing quite a few hours a day to get there asap.
We did make it to Fradley Junction and are now moored up on the Coventry canal. Will let you know how we get on.

In future, let him put his own fishing things away!
