Paul has spent the whole morning taking things apart to remake a remote for the CCTV camera. He was utilising the insides of the remote for a radio controlled car. Now we bought this car in Spain and it has been exposed to various degrees of humidity, then it sat under the bed on the boat so suffered a bit of condensation, any way after about three hours Paul came to the conclusion that all the circuit board was corroded( well buggered actually) and no matter what he did it just would not work so it is now onto plan B not that we have a plan B YET but no doubt we will have very soon.
After lunch we decided to wander in all this heat to the Engine Museum now it is normally open at weekends but a notice by the tap said that during July and August it would be open on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm. Well today is Wednesday and its the 1st of July but was the museum open NO IT WAS NOT. So back to The Boars Head for a pint. Now as you know I normally drink cider and blackcurrant (halves not pints) when Paul came back to the table with the drinks mine certainly didn't look like cider and black, there was a big lump of ice in it for a start, quick sip and no, definitely not what I ordered, back to the bar goes Paul and apparently the girl thought he said soda and blackcurrant. She got it right second time around.
It is so humid today and for best part of the morning we have had hoards of school boys of varying ages doing a sponsored walk along the tow path every child peered into the boat some waved and said hello and a couple took photos of the Beware of the Dog sign why? don't ask me. Tomorrow we are moving on may stop at Kerridge if we can get on the same mooring as before. Quite a bit of traffic heading towards Marple for the weekend. Hope the weather stays nice for them.
