After a wander round Rugely yesterday which I must say wasn't very inspiring we spent the night on the 48hr moorings and this morning went to Morrison's to get the shopping. Paul had told me to look out for a motoring shop as he needed a couple of filters but I never came across one. As we left Morrison's Paul nipped into a garage to ask if they did the filters the chap was very helpful, said he could get them within the hour. True to his word when Paul went back there they were 4 Fram filters and the cost £2.65 each. The guy said that if we wanted any other filters or oil he could get them which is handy to know. So if you are going to Morrison's you pass the garage which has cars for sale on the forecourt.
We left Rugley around midday, must say this stretch is very rural although the power station is in view for a while. Just as you pass bridge 69 the scenery is lovely.
Just before Colwich lock there are some nice houses with gardens down to the canal.
And just before bridge 72
It always amazes me the size of the leaves on this plant.
We are moored up now just after bridge 72 and on the other occasions when we have come through the place is packed, today there is one other boat, us and Tranquility. We were very good neighbours and trimmed the vegetation down for our friends as they don't have any shears, our reward, a nice glass of wine can’t be bad.
We shan’t be moving now until Monday we need some R & R.
