We weren't woken too early by the heavy plant in the new marina which was a bit of a bonus.
Yesterday Paul also sorted out where the overspray of lacquer had been from the rubbing strake and below. We had to trim up the greenery first but with his mate Graham to help him mask everything up it didn't take too long to get a coat of blacking on.
At least it has tidied it up.
Of course the boys just had to have a fish while Betty and I sat and chatted. After about half an hour there was a shout from Paul and Graham hot foot it along the length of our boat to give Paul a hand landing this whopper.
A boat coming through very kindly stopped to allow the men get it aboard. This mirror carp had suffered a few knocks in its life but was happily put back into the cut. The lady on the boat that had waited asked if we were going to eat it, I don't think so somehow.
We got to Fradley and both of us managed to get moored up which was handy. Betty and I decided to go for a walk and the men said they would do the rubbish. As us ladies came up to the pub we found the men outside having a pint, their faces were a picture like little school boys caught out playing truant.
