Early start today as Paul wanted to get a few miles under our belts to make up for not moving yesterday. (yes he is still harping on about it). Not a lot of traffic about in fact for a lot of the time we were the only boat in sight.
Went through the Cowley tunnel, just a short affair but hewn out of solid rock just look at the roof.
When you come out the other side you can see the rock face
So it was on through Gnosall and Norbury Junction dodging the showers along the way. Under High Bridge.
Cant think why they call it that can you?
At the end of the Shebdon embankment there is the old Cadbury buildings where the milk was processed glad to say the original buildings have a preservation order on them.
We did pass a hireboat and as we drew alongside the lady popped her head out of the window and shouted "we read your blog". We really appreciate it when people say that.
So here we are now moored up at Goldstone Wharf Paul has nipped over the pub to do a reccy on the ale and the food. Today we have done 15 miles in 5 hours goodness me I will need the weekend to recover from this and the locks we face tomorrow. Market Drayton here we come.
Before I get my ear chewed for not posting it here is the nice fish Paul caught at Wheaton Aston.

I think that is the same fish you caught last week! What does Paul think about closing the canal to boaters for 10 hours for a fishing comp? P.S. Slow down, we can't catch you up!
