Bridge 119.

We all spent last evening with the binoculars watching a pair of Buzzards and their young. They had killed a rabbit and were feeding on the ground chasing the dare devil crows that ventured too close. Then this morning as we were getting ready to leave a herd of deer appeared in the field the other side of the railway line. Cant say there is a lack of wild life around the area of Iron Lock.

On the approach to Wharton Lock you can see the remains of Beeston Castle it is quite spectacular.

As we got to the lock two boats were leaving so that worked just fine, Betty and I even managed a quick pose for the camera.

Paul still hasn't got to grips with the zoom!!!!

These double gates certainly take some winding should get rid of my “bingo wings”.

There was quite a bit of floating weed in the canal, in fact it was more like and island.

We had planned to moor up before bridge 119 but we weren't able to get in to the side so had to go through the bridge where we found a nice mooring for the two of us. We are settled now for the weekend, the boys are fishing lets hope they catch some FISH today last night the only thing that came out of the water on the end of the line was EELS.
