Nice week with the friends.

Our friends have left us now and returned to Kent, we have had a very nice week although the only time we moved the boat was get more water. As Steve and Ang had their car with them one day we went into Coventry so Steve could go to the Motor Museum, Ang and I did the shops, I was able to get yet more books from Waterstones not much money left on the vouchers now. Had a bite to eat in Weatherspoons and then it was back to the boat. Of course the men had to pay a visit to Machine Mart the big tool shop by the basin and Paul bought yet another piece of kit this time a "professional battery tester" I don't think he is a professional by any means but there you go, at least he will be able to test ours with the right equipment.
Last night we went into Rugby to try out an Indian restaurant that Steve had researched on the internet, this was a really good move as the food was lovely. It is called Masala lounge and in Castle street which is near the RBS and opposite the Weatherspoons. In the evenings they do a happy hours menu before 7.30 for 9.95 Paul Ang and I chose this option Steve ordered off the main menu, for the 9.95 you get poppadoms a starter and a main course. Every thing is beautifully presented and the restaurant is clean and there is a nice atmosphere I can recommend it.
Now we must get stuck into the jobs that need to be done, gear box oil is the first job and Paul aims to get this done tomorrow. We are now moored by bridge 90 opposite the 2 cottages where we will stay until Thursday, when hopefully we can get on the move up the South Oxford desperately need a change of scenery, also need to catch up with Betty and Graham nbTranquility as Betty is in the throes of knitting me a jumper and with the speed she knits it may be finished by the time we see them again.
Had planned to go for breakfast at the Gongoozlers today but Jenny and John have sold up and the new owners don't re-open until the 10th so that put paid to that idea, we understand that a lady that used to work in the Old Plough is the new owner, look forward to meeting her at sometime.
