Lovely weekend

Well, we have had a nice weekend so far. Yesterday Angela and John nb Ellen called on us and we arranged to go to The Wharf for a drink in the evening as there was live music. weather wise yesterday was pants but our evening was very enjoyable. When we got to the pub the place was heaving, the band were just setting up and there was Rugby on the tele, luckily Angela and John had got there before us and managed to get a table. We haven't seen them for a nice long natter since last summer so we had plenty to talk about. The band were okay not to loud at least we were able to shout at one another. Every time Paul went up to the bar he came back with a smile on his face, there was so many young ladies there that it made an old man very happy. Before we knew it it was 11.45 now we haven't been up that late for ages. We actually remembered to take a torch with us which was just as well as the tow path was decidedly muddy.
This morning after a bit of a lie in and the usual Skype session for Paul we wandered down to Ellen as Paul wanted to have a nosey round her engine room and check out her Gardner. We are trying to get ideas and I afraid to say that the drawing for the stretch is being modified yet again but don't worry I am sure by the time we go in the marina we will have got it sorted.
Tomorrow we are heading for Claydon locks and will probably stop overnight there lets hope the weather is as lovely as it is today.
