We had a very nice meal last night in the Rose and Crown. This pub is part of a chain but the food was really nice. Paul was feeling so generous he let me have a pudding, I'm one of those people who just has to have a pud, would rather leave some of my main to squeeze in something nice and sweet after. Thing is Paul very rarely eats a pudding but always wants a taste of mine and ends up eating half of it. Are you surprised, of course not.
Weir at Kings Langley
Kings Langely moorings

We are now moored at Apsley had a lovely journey all 3 locks of it, again the sun is shining (panel working in overdrive) and it makes you feel so much better. When we first arrived we tied up on the Sainsbury's mooring as Paul wanted to nip to Homebase we spent about 10 mins watching 2 BW guys pulling shopping trolleys from below Aspley lock, 1 bike and 5 trolleys later they left, trouble is they have lent the bike up against the bridge so no doubt it will end up back in its watery grave. We had planned to carry on to Hemel, but as there was a space opposite when Paul came back from his shopping trip we moved across the canal and are now moored one boat away from Granny Buttons, must try and catch up with Andy while we are here. I went to Sainsbury's for milk and ended up spending £15 must not leave the boat again while we are here but, we do need a new mat for in front of the kitchen sink and I'm sure Homebase will have just the thing!!!
