When we got up this morning the wind seemed to have abated a bit so we decided we would move. Canopy came down and we were just ready for the off when this big gust of wind came up and so we are still here. We have seen boats struggling to cope in fact we watched one boat go virtually sideways down the canal as it came under the bridge. We will stay here until the wind dies down somewhat, it may be tomorrow it may not be till Saturday. We just don't want to risk it.
Paul has spoken to another boater coming from the south and he said that he has seen so many near misses with people not being able to control their boats in the wind that we are doing the right thing in staying where we are.
It is so frustrating the sun is out and we need to be on the move never mind I can always pop to Sainsbury’s again!!!!!!!
