Just toooooo hot.

After our trip to Birmingham Betty and I needed Sunday to relax and unwind. The weather was glorious and we just sat on the tow path until the GP and then we all retired inside out of the midday sun. Paul didn't take it easy though in the morning he decided to get rid of the underspray by putting a few scallops in.

So that is one problem solved.

We also had a call from Kym to say that our new chimney was done and he would be bringing it down to us.

Looks good well done Kym (Little Chimney Company)

This morning we left Hopwas for the next stop on my itinerary, going through Fisherwick where I love the look of this house

All the boat traffic seemed to be going in the opposite direction and I must say with the sun on our backs it was extremely hot so as we approached bridge 84 I was ready for our overnight stop (it was 11.30am by this time) under the bridge we saw this sign

So between bridges 84 and 85 the diggers were in abundance and it was a little on the noisy side but we stopped anyway, Betty and Graham weren't far behind and joined us. Kettle went on and we spent an hour discussing the why’s and where for’s of building yet another marina when everywhere you read that boat sales (old and new) are down. Don't know how many boats this place will hold when it is done but I must remember to cross this nice mooring off of my list. Plan was to move up to Fradley tomorrow but Betty has come up with another mooring where we can catch the bus to Lichfield so who knows where we will end up. Have two weeks to get to Tixall so does it matter!!!!
