Settled again.

Pete Carol Rita and Graham popped on board yesterday afternoon for a chat and for the blokes a look at the ENGINE and to see if they could spot “the join.” Us girls well we talked girlie things like the extra cupboard space the new oven etc. It was nice to catch again after all this time. They left us around 5.30 as they wanted to go to Newbold to moor up.

This morning we waved goodbye to Rugby you could hear Pauls wallet heave a big sigh of relief, we passed our friends at Newbold then stopped there for water before carrying on. Our journey was a pleasant one although there were lots of big black clouds we managed to get here without getting wet.

Our mooring which would appear is going to be until Monday is just past bridge 24 about a mile south of Ansty, not every ones ideal spot as we are about a 100 feet from the railway but the tow path is wide and quiet so great for the dogs. Last time we were here a steam train came past wonder if it will happen again. Once we had got settled the chairs came out and because it was really hot Paul set to and gave one side of the plank its coat of green paint. Hopefully the other side will get done tomorrow.

It is nice to be away from people, shops and the temptation of spending. I just need to chillllllllllll.
