2 girls go to Birmingham!!!!!!!

Our friends Betty and Graham are here with us, last night we planned to go to the pub for a meal. Sat on the tow path deciding what time to go and Ray and Diane nb Gypsy Rover (Australia) pulled in and they joined us for our night out. It was nice to catch up although I think Diane was a bit bemused by the banter between us four, she didn't take long to realise it was all in fun.

Betty and I thought we would like a trip to Birmingham as we noticed that the buses went from Tamworth. This morning we got the 110 bus to “Brum” Now you have to picture this, 2 getting on a bit women going to somewhere by bus that we have never been to before, the bus was filling up along the route and after about half an hour we came to a lovely shopping area and loads of people got up to get off so we looked at one another and said “shall we get off here” and we did. Had a bit of a wander then realised that the place wasn't as big as we assumed Birmingham would be. So we thought if we walked on a bit we would come into town. How wrong can you be, so we caught the next bus with Birmingham on it. As we left this shopping area we passed a sign which said Birmingham 6 miles. We had only got off the bus in Sutton Coldfield what stupid people we are. Boy did we have a laugh at that good job we didn't try to walk it. We did eventually make it and had a good mooch around the shops. The men were left to their own devices. Don't think we will forget this day in a hurry.

Hope tomorrow is as warm as promised, there is the GP and MOTOGP so Paul will be inside while I will be on the tow path with my book.

The Dutch TT at Assen (Moto GP) is always on a Saturday but Paul would have known that being a bloke.
We used to live in Sutton Coldfield there were always a lot of lost ladies wandering around.
