We left our mooring around 8.30 which to me is still the middle of the night but it was onwards and upwards. We did the whole of the Napton locks without seeing another boat and with every lock in our favour. Don't know if the grey murky weather had anything to do with it but we weren’t complaining it was lovely travelling at our own speed. When we got to Marston Doles we were surprised to find that there wasn't another boat on the moorings there which must be a first for us, so we were able to get to the water point with ease . Over the past couple of fillups we have noticed that even though the tank is full with in a couple of minutes of leaving a water point we have found that the water metre is down to number 8 when we haven't even used any water ( when full tank is past 10). Paul has had a look and we don't have any obvious leaks so put it down to the gauge which has now been readjusted so hopefully that has cured the problem.
Once leaving Marston Doles two boats passed us heading towards Napton in fact think only four boats went by on the whole of the journey.
We saw this on the horizon we had to look twice.
Do you think they know something we don't?
And it looks like the land is going to be blighted in this area.
We really surpassed ourselves and made it to one of our favourite moorings getting here around 1.30 so that was a whole 5 hours cruising think we need to stay here till Monday to get over it!!!!!!

Paul has got his fishing rod out and is chilling on the back of the boat, the sun is shining and life feels good. Tomorrow we will get a few jobs done and maybe only maybe mind the boat will get is first waxing.
I am pleased to say that the engine ran like a dream………..
