Today has been a very breezy day so not many people out and about. Paul has started to tackle a few jobs. The engine room has had a thorough clean up, the diesel has had another check and it is okay. the drip pan under the engine has been washed with soapy water sponged out and dried, and I am pleased to say a lot of the junk (in my opinion) has been put out of site.
As Beta didn't want the two faulty filter housings returned to them Paul decided to make a bit of a feature of them, so here they are up on the wall in the engine room as a reminder of the trials and tribulations we have been through.
Handy place to hang the torch. Most people have a barometer and clock we have old filter housings!
The bedroom floor has had a coat of PVA glue to seal it and may be tomorrow the floor tiles will be laid. Paul has also had a mad half hour and polished the engine. Think this was because he has had the side hatch doors open and with people walking past he was a bit ashamed of the state it was in.
Now he knows how to do it he can have this job on a regular basis, I refuse to get involved in the cleaning of engine or engine room, as far as I am concerned this is outside space. Perhaps I could get him to do the washing as the machine is in there or is that just wishful thinking on my behalf.

Thats wishful thinking. (Big grin). You know that engine looks clean enough to cook breakfast on. Just a thought. Love to see a CLEAN engine..ATB!
Come on, he has only just learnt how to make the coffee. Coping with the controls of a washing machine may be a step too far.
I hope Beta are going to send a small tin of paint to make the new filter top match everything else
