On to the inside!

As things have been a bit behind recently Paul hasn't ventured to the yard. Today however he went down there just to catch up. The boat is out of the dock the steel work is all but finished, the side hatch doors are in and the various holes on the roof have been filled.

The inside is in the process of being battened out in readiness for the spray foamer tomorrow. Then hopefully everything will move along nicely. On his return from the yard Paul has done his wiring and plumbing diagram. Needs to know where the new switches and sockets are going so he can mark them up on the foam. Conduit has been put in place across the roof to allow Paul to put the cables through, this will be foamed over. Bit better then what we had before when all the cables were pinched between the roof lining and the foam. Paul is well pleased with the new steel work. If the weather stays dry John the canopy man will be down Saturday or Sunday so that will be another job out of the way.

Jess sent our post here and amongst it was our licence renewal form. As the boat is now another 2 metres longer we thought it best to let BW know. Paul rang the customer service department to ask what the new quote would be and could we just change the form as I will be going to Braunston to pay. The lady on the end of the phone was very helpful and our licence has gone up by £50. We did ask the question “why don't BW round up or down the pence to the nearest 50p. The lady told us that they had had so many complaints when they did this that they reverted to the old way. Why would people moan about paying an extra 50p I ask myself.

Fridge is full with meals for Paul as I am off to Kent tomorrow for the weekend. At least the pub is within walking distance so he wont go hungry.
