Got that wrong!!!

We were led to believe yesterday that it was a fete like thing at Hillmorton. Now we know it was a “Waterways Festival” arranged by BW. We had to go to Hillmorton this morning and found this out. Adamant was there along with a few old work boats, one of which was Corona a 1936 boat lovingly looked after by her owner.

There were various other things going on. It was the birds of prey that caught my eye.

While Paul was at the yard yesterday he had a long conversation with the steel man regarding modifications to the throttle /gear stick switch console on the the stern to make any servicing easier. So this morning all the gubbins were removed along with items on the roof that have to be moved so that the redundant holes can be welded up. He did all this in a very professional manner. How did I know this? Because at one point the big hammer came out so he had to be a professional didn't he!!!!!!!!

Day off tomorrow we had to cancel John the canopy man as work didnt progress as we thought this week this also meant the spray foam contractor had to be cancelled for Monday. Hey Ho never mind hopefully we will be able to make up the lost time at some point.

BW kept that quiet, we came through on Friday and saw nb. Victoria and another boat on the inside but thought they were heading home from Shackerston. Adament was at Newbold, we stopped in Braunston over night and were woken by a Bolinder at 5am probably coming your way, if we had know we would have stayed there.
