Lining out.

Today Paul had an early start so he couldn't use his bus pass and he had to pay to get to Hillmorton. He had made his mind up that he was going to rip out the bathroom bulk head as yesterday the lads were busy locking in and out boats along with a few other jobs that needed doing. So yes he took it upon himself to get stuck in and remove the bulk head and also the pipe covers along the starboard side and he removed a few items from below the gunnel line.

So now you might say we have an open plan bathroom.

The yard then decided that the floor bearers and floor could be installed. During this time ballast was moved about to trim the boat, however we still have to add more to lower the stern by three inches.

It was coming to the end of the day but Paul and Liam decided to cut away the extended bulk head in the kitchen which will become the new bathroom door to allow the washing machine to be moved from its existing position to its new position in the engine room. So new cooker is on the cards for me!!!!!!!

Some of you may say that this is a bit tight but adjustment is not off the cards. Although the engine is in its position it is still sitting on its transit pallet but when installed on its engine bearers it will be 14 inches lower, which will give us optimum room between the washer and the engine of about 20 inches which is plenty enough to walk through.

Another early start for Paul tomorrow and hopefully a good portion of the lining out will be done, which means that the bulk heads should be in situ by the end of the week.

I am off to the hairdressers in the morning  bet he doesn’t notice but if he does no doubt he will say “how much”!!!!!!!!!!!!
