Rugley.

We left Fradley on Monday it took us an hour to fill up with water by which time the world and his wife were heading up the locks with us. There were volunteer lockies on locks 19 and 20 both of whom were boaters so at least there was some semblance of organisation. We moored up for the night at b55 just past Kings Bromley Marina with Betty and Graham.

Nice spot.

View from the bridge.

This turned out to be a popular overnight mooring but of course we stayed two nights we just couldn't tear ourselves away. Just before the bridge a largish branch had broken away from the main trunk of the tree and was just dangling, Paul rang BW the call going through the call centre in Wales!!!!!!!!!! He explained the situation saying that if the branch came down on a boat it would cause some damage “okay says the lady I will get them to ring you”, have they rung, of course not. This is not the first time we have been through to this call centre and not received any response I just hope no one gets injured.

Today we made Rugley just about managing to get on the 7 day moorings as its a bit on the shallow side.

Got a bit snap happy on the way.

Approaching Rugley.

We have now done a bit of shopping getting the all important beers so we can sit with our friends on the tow path later.

Paul is in the process of varnishing the insides of the wardrobes so at the moment we are surrounded by clothes hanging in the lounge, hopefully it  should be done soon as it looks like “widow Twankies” laundry.
