Kiddlington

It is only a hop skip and a jump from Thrupp to Kiddlington and that is what we did this morning. We arrived at Kiddlington around 10.45 much to the surprise of Anne and Keith on nb Oakfield one of our "chums" from our Christmas freeze only need Tranquility to join us and the dynamic trio will be together once again.
We had a quick coffee on board Oakfield and then Anne and I decided we would go into Oxford for a bit of a mooch. Just as I was leaving the boat to knock for Anne a familiar boat went past it was our friends Judy and Don on nb Angkorah. We had been hoping to catch up with them as it had been over 9 months since we last saw then and they have a dog now and I couldn't wait to see her. Well they only realised it was us as they went past so we only had time for a very hasty chat as they had arranged to meet friends at Anyho in a couple of days. So once again we parted company with promises to meet up sometime.
Our visit to Oxford was a hasty affair I was able to suss out where to get the Tube bus and then Anne and I decided that next week us girls would return to Oxford for a proper mooch visiting museums having lunch and doing a spot of shopping.
When we got back to the boats we found that two had become three and Tranquility was back amongst friends. We found that the men were already aboard having coffee so we joined them and spent a very pleasurable hour catching up. Its nice to be with our friends again all be it for a short time.
Weather has been awful it rained so hard today that Paul had to whack up the volume on the tele as he couldn't hear his film which ironically he had never seen before.
