This morning saw us going up to turn round, it was a lovely morning.
As we approached the locks there was Oakfield and another boat in front of us so getting down the locks was a bit on the slow side. As it turned out we all needed water, we were almost empty and as I had washing to do we had to stop. We breasted up to Oakfield and it must have taken us 2 hours to fill our tank, of course these taps are slow at the best of times and with both being in use made it even worse.
Watching it doesn't make the tank fill any quicker.
Breasted up.
Once full we set off on our way we had to go first as we were on the outside.
Happy Smiley face or what!!!!!!!!!
We followed a Gayton Junction hire boat from Hillmorton but by the time we got to the golf course they were no where in sight. Who did we see though, none other then Derwent 6. As is usually the case Del was out on the tow path with a cloth in hand cleaning. Al just popped her head out as we went by.
Its a pity Del couldn't see the shiny side of Piston Broke but Paul did clean it honest……..
We are now moored up and had planned to stay a few days but the TV reception here for us is awful so it looks like we will move off sooner than was anticipated. Paul disappeared to Wickes about 2 hours ago to try and get some new wheels for our trolley, he is obviously chatting to someone somewhere. My turn tomorrow for a wander.
