5th July

A few days ago we met up with our friends from our marina in March. We had all set off together but at Gayton Paul and I had gone way and nb Sorted and nb Halcyon Days had gone the other. They had gone down the Grand Union onto the THames then up the Oxford while we had gone down the Oxford got stuck on the Thames then turned round and come back up the Oxford. As we are going slowly they have caught up with us and it has been nice catching up with their exploits. We have been together for 3 days now stopped at Fenny Compton, somewher in the country and then yesterday we all got to Braunston as the weather was lovely we decided to have a BBQ took over the towpath and had a really good laugh with plenty of food and drink.
Today is Carols birthday so not too sure if we are going out to celebrate, the weather today so far has been wet warm though. The men have gone to the chandlers so when they get back us girls will go for a wander.
Its Grand Prix qualifying at lunch time so Paul will be sat in front of the tele for that so he wont miss me for a couple of hours.
He has managed to catch another large fish but I wont bore you with the photos. It has been a bit of a competition these past few days as all the blokes fish and so far Paul is the only one that has caught anything so as you can imagine he is dead chuffed.
Not looking forward to all the hire boaters wizzing past this afternoon as here at Braunston there are so many hire boat companies nearby and the Oxford seems to be the canal of choice for most of the holiday makers.
We are staying here for a few days Jess is sending our post up so we will have to wait for that to arrive then its on to Rugby.
